Impeach Obama on facebook???

Barack Obama has not even been sworn in yet as the 44th president of the United States but groups are springing up online calling for his impeachment. On Facebook, an "Impeach Barack Obama" group has attracted more than 700 members and a lively debate about the Democrat's election victory on Tuesday over Republican John McCain.
Another Facebook group of the same name has 160 members and urges others to join because "we might as well get a head start on the impeachment of Obama."
"There are a lot of Americans out there that do not fully understand the concept of Socialism or Communism which is why they've elected Obama as president," it says.
Yet another Facebook group, "Impeach Barack Hussein Obama," has 160 members.
It decries that Obama "has voiced support for various unconstitutional programs such as the assault weapons ban, universal healthcare, and various schemes for wealth distribution."
"What are we going to do about it? IMPEACH HIM!" it says.
Obama still has some way to go, however, to equal the number of "Impeach George Bush" groups on Facebook, which lists at least 95 such groups with varying membership.
Obama is to be sworn into office on January 20, 2009. He will be the first African-American president of the United States.

As I said, what is good for the Goose is good for the Gander. The rhetoric is going to only get worse from here. Every thing that was flung at Bush, will come right back at Obama.

I have been on facebook a tad recently & noticed a ton of these sorts of groups & have had a quick glance at pages of comments. Didn't take long to come across "Obama is a liar a Socalist and a Loony even for liberals"

Disappointing to see, though expected. I followed the US election process for the majority of the past year for the first time & it has woken me up to how crazy these fanatics can be on both sides.

You can't impeach a president without 3/4 of the states approval, 2/3 of the Senate (which has a democratic majority) approval, and a supreme court endictment for bribery, treason, or high crimes and misdemeanors. Obama is not socialist and that's not even a real reason to impeach him.

What's unfortunate is that this is likely to cause deeper gouges in the divisive "race" line that still exists in today's society. When this President election should have erased all lines...stupid events like this cause more damage than already had existed.

It's a chain of events that could happen based on the mindset of the ignorant/stupid.

Two stupid white guys are busted for a possible assassination attempt.

Now, two stupid black guys decide they see race as a bigger issue than existed before and take their frustrations out on...

It's a stupidly vicious cycle because there are still too many people on both sides of the fence who can't see a man as a man and nothing more. Instead, they have to see the color of his skin.
