Cool Black & Gold Moon Rising II Lyrics

Black & Gold Moon Rising II

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania by the Kiski river beyond those hills.
Three generations of iron workers. My Grandma called, The men of steel.
Work is done. The day is over. Dinner's done lets watch the game.
Dad would scream, and Mom would holler.
Steelers Win! Browns lose again.

So many hide a badge of honor. Scars disguise the pain they feel.
Dad would say there is no honor, when flesh and blood of men meet steel.
My birthday came with two gold tickets. Together son we'll watch them play.
I woke up on that Sunday morning. I never saw my Dad that day.

The Day that my Father died, my Mother cried "We're all alone."
She held his shirt to her face, to smell a trace but now its gone.
Black & Gold Moon rising.

I've played this game before. I've given all. Can't give you any more.
Remember times when we were happy. Through good times and bad.
Tomorrow brings another play, another game, another day that we'll
be fightin out there.

The Day that my Father died, my Mother cried "We're all alone."
She held his shirt to her face to smell a trace but now its gone.
Black & Gold Moon rising.

Rise and shine, Rise and shine, Rise and shine.
Rise.

The Day that my Father died, my Mother cried "We're all alone."
She held his shirt to her face to smell a trace but now its gone.

The Day that my Father died, my Mother cried "You, must go on."
