If you were the Steelers this offseason, Who would you take in your first three rounds? It shouldn't be too hard, just do a little research
Round 1 - Lendale White RB USC - For the same reasons everyone's been talking about drafting this kid. He's a power runner, Bettis is getting up there, Duce is always injured, and the Steelers need to get back to their kind of football game Round 2 - Mike Degory C Florida - 6'6", 296 lbs. and they say he has the potential to get bigger and stronger. He'd also boost our O-Line and definately make an impact Roudn 3 - Clinton Solomon WR Iowa - 6'3" 195 pounds, I keep trying to find out where he might get drafted, because I've seen him listed as high as the 7th WR in the draft, to the 20th. Anyways, he's a deep threat for Ben who could do well in the next level.

i'd take lendale white first round for sure, and then i'll just co-sign your other 2 picks cause i don't start reading up on prospects till after the season so i have no idea who would be good at number 2 and 3

Round 1: LenDale White – RB - USC (6-2 & 235lbs) Basically the same reasons you list. I think we have a big need for a power RB next year. From what I hear the draft won’t have many power backs this year and all the more reason to go after LenDale in the 1st.
Round 2: Martin Nance – WR – Miami of Ohio (6-5 & 210lbs) I think we need to bring a tall receiver in to give Ben another big guy to throw to and open up the field. I like Nance’s size and from what I’ve read about him he is very physical. Also think it doesn’t hurt that him and Ben have some history together. OR Round 2: Hank Baskett – WR – New Mexico (6-4 & 220lbs) Baskett is another tall receiver I like. Another very physical guy. Has very good leaping ability from what I have read he was Mountain West Conference outdoor high jump champion. Round 3: Mike DeGory – C – Florida (6-6 & 296lbs) JerseySTEEL brought this guy up in another thread and I have liked what I have read about him. He is very durable and is a very good pass protector. With Jeff Hartings nearing the end of the road I think he is worth a look. Steelers might go DE in the third, but not sure who I would want yet. Darryl Tapp has a lot of positives, but still not sure. |

Heres my 5 Round Steeler Mock.
Round 1 LenDale White RB,USC ( 6'2" 235 40:4.49 With Bettis going to retire we could use a team player to help willie handle the load. Round 2. Mike Degory C, Gators (6'4" 310 40:5.26) ![]() Jeff Hartings is getting old , so we need to teach a young stud in his place soon. They say degory doesn't dominate, well with russ grim in his face it will change ;). Rounnd 3 Maurice Stovall WR, ND ![]() (6'5" 225 40:4.55 ) With so many Wr going into FA(EL,Qunicy,Morey) we might needs a WR and stovall is agreat blocker with great hands so why not. Round 4 manase hopoi DE, Washington ![]() (6' 4" 290 40:5:08) With Von getting old and in FA we need depth. Round 5 Travis Johnson CB, Mississippi ![]() ( 6' 1" 191 40:n/a) The past couple of year's we have found great talent in late pick's for cb and hope the same here.

yeah i heard that too, but they always say that, he knows he won't be able to pass up money and risk staying and getting hurt in college. BE SMART LENDALE, ENTER THE DRAFT DAMN IT!! plus they are gonna suck next year with no reggie and no matt so there is no point in risking anything for nothing

That would make things interesting. Not too many big backs out there this draft atleast thats what I hear. I have been hoping for us to draft LenDale this offseason for a while.
