Default HoF question!?

i figured someone in here can clear this up for me because i have ZERO clue what i'm really talking about. haha!

the top 25 finalists for this years Hall of Fame inductees are in and 3 former Steelers are on the list. Dermonti Dawson, Kevin Greene, and Rod Woodson.

my question is this: Dawson spent his entire career in Pittsburgh so it'd be obvious he would retire as a Steeler. but Woodson and Greene have had other careers with other teams. Greene didn't quite flourish in his, but Woodson won a Super Bowl with the Ravens. back to my question: are Woodson and Greene going to retire as Steelers if they get inducted or do they get to pick what team they want to go in for? i'm not sure how they go about doing this. but Emmit Smith finished his career as a Cardinal, but surely he's in as a Cowboy. so, what's the deal!?

help me figure this crap out please. haha!

You can obviuosly choose to a certain extent, you become a hall of famer because of a outstanding carreer, however the one your the longest tenure at, and have had the most impact on is what most choose, and what your expected to choose. Brett Farve for example would be a Green Bay Packer as a Hall of Famer even though it appears he has no great love for them right now. We all would expect him to choose GB, even if he were to win a superbowl or two with the Jets I believe he would be expected, and would do the right thing and choose GB, because of his long career there even though the imact could go either way.

I thought that in football, they don't induct you into the Hall of Fame as a member of any particular team. They just induct you as an individual, and all the teams you played for are listed in your bio. It's not like baseball, where you pick a certain team as your "main" one.
