Jerry Jones is apparently tougher than Marion Barber

At the very least, Mr. Jones believes he's in a position to question Marion Barber's toughness. Barber didn't play in Pittsburgh yesterday with calf and pinkie toe injuries, and Jones roundaboutly called him a sissy yesterday.

Jones believed Barber’s dislocated right pinkie toe was an injury that he could have played with against Pittsburgh. Before the team boarded for its flight to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jones was stunned Barber did not make the trip.
After not practicing all week and with an additional sore calf, Barber felt he couldn’t play. Jones said Barber could have taped and braced the toe well enough to allow him to play.

"He can play with that injured toe," Jones said. "He can play with the soreness and a combination of those things. I see nothing that led us to believe he couldn’t."

That's a fantastic way to alienate a running back. I'd love to be there when Jones calls Barber into his office and says, "Awww, does him him a wittle pinkie toe boo-boo?"

I think it's usually best to tread lightly where another man's injury is concerned, especially for a guy like Barber, whose toughness, to my knowledge, has never been up for debate before. I'm sure Mr. Jones is frustrated after the loss, but unless he's dealt with the exact same injuries and performed the exact same tasks he's asking someone else to perform, it's probably not wise to call that guy a wuss.

I wouldn't count on that Barber/Cowboys relationship lasting a whole lot longer. If Jones thinks Barber's a sissy, and is willing to publicly insult him about it, I can't see him making Barber a cornerstone of the franchise, either. And I can't see Barber wanting to play for a guy who thinks he's Charmin-soft.

So not only do you insult your stud RB....You basically say Choice did a bad job, which from what I saw, Choice looked great against our D.

It's quickly becoming a tie for my most hated owner between JJ and Al Davis.

Barber deserves a lot better treatment than that. With the way that guy runs, it is a wonder he doesn't get injured every game he plays in.

Hey, I've smashed my toes on a desk before without breaking them and I limped around for days. Who knows what Barber has, but I can guarantee one of the most important tools for a running back are his legs...DUH!!

Not to mention the calf...that's where you're pushing off and getting explosiveness.

Sorry...I'll take a rookie RB at 100% than an injured vet at 60% ANY day. You're hurting the team by putting somebody that's injured in there (Ben not included!!!)

Jerry Jones must have been reading too many articles by sports writers saying the offensive gameplan changed because Barber wasn't there, and that it would hurt the team.

This is a headscratcher...but somehow not surprising.

He couldn't call out Romo, T.O. or Witten, so who does he put the blame on? Barber, who didn't even play, and, I might add, who's backup played the best game any RB has had against us all season.

If Barber felt that he would do the team no good, then it's probally best he didn't play. Nobody knows a player's body better than that player.

I bet he couldn't push off of that foot with a dislocated toe.

I bet you Jones thinks he doesn't need Barber any more with Choice playing as surprisingly well as he did and Felix Jones who'll be back next year. So he probally figures piss off Barber so he demands a trade.

Jones must plan his whole day around getting into position to have someone shove a mic in his face. I have never seen an owner in the news,quoted as much as him. He needs to go ahead and take over as HC. What a clown. He reminds me of George Bush 2, all that money and power, yet no common sense.
