Default What would we do without Hines Ward

Seriously. Where would this team be without him on offense. I don't care what stats say from the 70's...and Yes, I watched Stallworth and Swann play every year of their careers. Ward is the best Steelers receiver in the history of our franchise.

He's clutch. He plays hard all the time. He darn near catches everything that comes his way.

What if this team would have made the wrong choice by signing Plex instead of Ward...which was debated adnausem at the time?

Ward is one my favorite Steelers of all time. He means the world to this offense.

I have to agree with this....Hines is by far the most complete WR I've ever seen. But with that said, I think Swanny and Stallworth had better hands. I'd still take Hines over either one any day.

Couldn't say it any better than that, Ed.

Hines is the best all around wideout in the NFL - - hands down. The guy has balls of steel and gives 150% each and every game. Opponents hate him because they fear him and they damned well should.

Without Hines we'd be 3-11.

He makes plays when we need them most. He brings the attitude to our offense and just has the heart of a lion and the toughness of a warrior. He's great.

Hines played great today . . . really clutch performance. But my MVP award has to go to Ben for this one. A ton of drops and no protection, yet he still engineers a winning drive.

Not just his clutch ability, but his heart and love for the game. He is a really player who does not go and and cry or want all the money. He goes out gives it his all and wins.

Actually, the protection today was pretty good. The Lewis sack was a classic stunt sack and the Reed sack was a safety blitz, and if Ben would have seen the guy running the slant (washington I think) a split second sooner, that play would have been a huge gainer for us.

I like seeing Ben actually "running" the ball. When it breaks down and the receivers are covered, him using his legs not just to continue the play, but to actually move the chains is something that was missing most of the year. He's done it now 2 games in a row with great effectiveness...

But this is a Ward Thread...Hines is fantastic. I will be getting his jersey. I've been debating between him and Ben, Hines will be my next pick up.

Okay, I like Hines just as much as the next guy, but thats a ridiculous thing to say. This defense alone could win more than 3 games.
