My list is however: Cowher and then Marty.
Might as well go for Marty. Don't think Cowher wants to go anywhere.

Did anyone else see Bill Cowher on the CBS pregame show last week?

He said that he HATES the Ravens and was making it so obvious that he was rooting for the Steelers in this game, he even pulled out a Terrible Towel.

If he had a bone in his body that wanted to become the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns, he would have never done that IMHO.

So I think there's a good chance you can kiss the thought of Bill Cowher roaming the Browns sidelines goodbye.

It's gonna be an especially bitter pill for you to swallow, then.

It's all a smokescreen.

And if it doesn't happen...are you going to eat your crow or bury your head in the sand and hide because you won't be able to admit that you were full of shit.

I just find it hard to beleive that Cowher said he wanted to be the Browns HC at the Ohio Auto Dealers Association meeting like you said he did, and it not being all over the newapapers.

Not in the day and age where big desicions from college sports teams to big government desicions gets leaked out to the media...but you're the only person to leak the info of what Cowher supposedly said.

Big Ben has said as much:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/p...nfl,44046&cp=2

It was probably just shrugged off at the time, Romeo's job wasn't all that in jeopardy, there was speculation that he might have been fired if the '07 season didn't go well, but DA pulled a Tommy Maddox and saved romeo's job.

I trust revefsreleets because, he really doesn't have anything to gain on this. He's a Stelers fan whom lives in Ohio, and probably like you hates the Browns. ;), add the fact that its on a Steelers board and not on a Browns. Just shows a bit more creedence to it.

His source is himself, saying Cowher was at some auto dealers meeting and said that he'd love to come back to Cleveland and coach.

It would be one thing if he was just giving his opinion, but he said that Cowher had actually said it. Cowher just being in Cleveland would have been in the papers, and him saying what he supposedly said would have damn sure been in the newspapers.

Rex Ryan could be a coaching candidate as well. They were saying in the game tonight that he will probably be offered a job this off-season. And was a finalist in the Falcons job last season.

rex ryan is the next mike nolan or eric mangina....

he isnt coaching now because he couldnt beat out harbaugh for a job. just like his brother couldnt beat out kiffen for a job.

maybe it goes back to their dad sucking as a head coach?

who knows?

Buddy Ryan wasn't the best at influencing people and making friends either, and it is a good ol' boy network. Or maybe he just gives a bad interview?
