Exclamation Running game still a concern

RUSHING
ATT YDS TD LG
W. Parker 14 81 0 49
V. Haynes 9 36 0 10
J. Bettis 9 16 0 6

Yes will had a big run, but other than that 49 yd run the running game just isnt pulling its weight on a consistent basis. That is what we need, consistency. Yes we had an awesome game last week, and we ran just enough today but against a 26th ranked defense we shoulda gained more yds. The Vikes did get a couple big DT's back this week and they played inspired so credit them, their defense didnt give up.

But as we move closer to the playoffs and assuming we get in, we damn well better be able to run the ball consistently cuz its a whole new ball game come january !

I was getting really mad when we had 2nd and 1 while we were trying to run the clock out and we couldn't get it.

That's not how a playoff team acts, we HAVE to step it up another notch!!!!

It's starting to get to me that we don't have Duce in there more! In the back of my mind i'm thinking Cowher might be saving Duce for the playoffs, but hey thats my crazy idea hehe.

If he's saving Duce for the playoffs he outta at least consider getting him the ball some to get him into a rythmn.. I know parker is closing in a 1000 yd season but the consistency in the running game just is not there no matter how u look at it.

Brownies defend the run as bad as anyone. So next week would be a good time to get on track!

Assuming we get in as the #6 seed (which it really looks like) that means if we survive the fist round, we're guaranteed a return trip to Indianapolis.

If we have no running game again to control the clock like SD did today against the Colts then we'll stand no chance again.

yeah this is starting to get annoying, sure he broke one run but damn it, we need duce to carry the load cause like i've been saying willie is nothing more then a third down back or a back you throw into the game to change it up a little. i hope we can draft lendale white or another decent back in the draft cause willie will never be a feature back in this league, and don't think i don't like him, he's one of my favortie steeler

So true the running game has no consistency. I have to wonder when they are going to bring Duce in some. He hasn't played much all season and maybe he could help. Its worth a shot.

I don`t think that he is saving Duce. I think Duce is a lazy ass, and Cowher has had it with him! Just my two cents!
