I am reading "Steeler Nation" right now, got it for Christmas from my husband.... it is the most recent one, and from what I have read, it has a lot of stories about CURRENT steelers.
http://www.amazon.com/Steeler-Nation...0320626&sr=8-2 I read "Double Yoi" by Myron Cope a couple years back & the book by Terry Bradshaw, that was pretty good.. I also started to read Jerome Bettis' book, but just wasn't getting into it much. Mel

The ultimate one is 'A Few Bricks Shy Of A Load" by Blount (not Mel, and no relation). It's the chronicle of a SI writer given the assignment of living with a team for the entire season, pre through post. His editor gave him the choice of the Steelers or Raiders. He chose the Steelers. Takes place in '75 I think. Great read, but a little rough for the kiddies!!

There is a book about Jack Lambert by a guy that I had as a substitute teacher. It is entitled Jack Lambert: Tough as Steel by Ron "Tank" Rotunno. I havent read it yet but it should be good, he seemed pretty knowledgeable on the Steelers when he and I talked in class just a couple years ago. It is also only $10 on borders.com.

I haven't read it yet but I want to, there were excerpts from it in Steelers digest last year and it looks pretty good.

I would recommend Jim O'Brien's "Doing It Right" (1991) and "Whatever It Takes" (1992), two wonderfully-written books which bridge the gap between the pre-Noll and Noll eras.
