I'm from out of town and usually attend 2-4 games per year. About 50/50 as far as road vs. home. All season, prices have stayed pretty high on the secondary market. But for some reason there are tons of tickets available for around $100/ticket, which is less than most of the regular season games this year. I went to the Jacksonville wild card game last year and it was the same thing. By game day tickets were going for under face value.
Maybe it's the whether in January, but I'd hate to think a little snow would scare away our fans. Economy possibly, but that doesn't explain why the regular season games were more expensive. Even the Chargers regular season game prices were higher than this weekends game. If we're lucky enough to get a win and a Titans loss, I'll be making the trip for the championship game snow, rain, or 80 and sunny. |

Ticketsnow has a couple of pairs for $81/ticket right now. They hit you with 15% fee + rediculous shipping charge of $25. But even with all that a pair is $211.
Stubhub is a little higher in the low $100's per ticket. I'm sure ebay is the cheapest, but also the most unreliable as your dealing directly with the seller. The other 2 sites guarantee your tickets are valid. If you act right now, ticketmaster has lower level seats for face value. $120 + fees and shipping will cost you $267 for a pair in section 142. |

All the ticket sites are a little deceiving. I got my Rose Bowl tickets on Stub Hub for pretty cheap. I then got hit with about $50 in service charges and shipping.
Ebay is not always a bad option. I've bought a lot of tickets off ebay. You just have to do your research on the seller.

There's always tickets remaining and you can get tickets to any event you want. Its all a matter of how much you want to pay.

actually part of the reason there are alot of tickets out there is our opponent has very little fan base outside of southern california and very few will make the trip.
There are never alot of opposing fans in our stadium, but the Chargers usually bring very few. I also think, playoffs has gotten so common place that some people are going to one game, and hoping that game is the AFCC game. |

I get the feeling also that their is a larger allotment to corporations (and the visiting team) for playoff tickets than there is for regular season games. Those corporations may decide it's better to sell them to ticket agencies and brokers and use their marketing funds elsewhere in this economy, and in this case there are going to be very few visiting fans due to their long distance and small fan base. It would also be different if the Steelers were playing a team that was closer (Colts) or from a bigger market (New York, Chicago.)
