God Bless Tony. His Team may have beaten us. But we can pray for his family that they get through this tough time well.

Nice touch by Mr. Rooney. It's tough to see a kid grow up only to die young. When I was 18, I thought I knew it all and lived all there was... how wrong I was. I can't imagine being Tony.

I, for the life of me, can't imagine what Tony is going through now....As a father to a 1 1/2 yr old, I really wonder if I could go on without him. Maybe that changes as time passes by. But, I truly don't know how people move on from a tragedy like this. I must be a weaker person or something. My heart goes to Tony and his family and to any family that has had to bury a child. Makes you realize what you have....

I just heard on ESPN radio that it is being ruled an apparent suicide based on evidence found at the scene...

Quote:
TAMPA, Florida (Reuters) - The 18-year-old son of Tony Dungy, head coach of the top-ranked Indianapolis Colts football team, was found dead on Thursday in Tampa, police said.

A spokeswoman for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to James Dungy's apartment at about 1:30 a.m. by his girlfriend. They were unable to revive Dungy and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Dick Bailey, a spokesman for the Hillsborough Medical Examiner, said an autopsy to determine the cause of death will not be completed until Friday at the earliest.

The St. Petersburg Times quoted Bailey as saying that Dungy's death was "apparently a suicide."

Asked by Reuters about whether it was a suicide, Bailey said, "I know of nothing to conflict with that," adding that the cause of death would not be conclusive until the autopsy was finished.

I'd love to see Dungy coaching the Steelers if the Cowher era was to end. The guy's a class act.

I think that was his My Space account, they deleted it yesterday. It was an "interesting" site to say the least... pretty gangsta. Although in his profile pic he was wearing a hoodie and a bandanna it did look like him based on the other photos I've seen.

it had to have been his site. did you read the last post on the blog? it was one of the girls who was in his "friends" profiles. she posted final words to him after hearing he died.
