I remember OSU being the favorite at #4 and ND being the underdog at #6 - but I guess that was just me. |

A) I live in Ohio, and the best I could find locally was that the experts were split, but on the National platform I saw people picking ND
B) Troy Smith ended the year with the 9th best passer rating in the Country, and he's a Junior. He outplayed Quinn. CBS Sportsline is stating that Smith is next years Heisman frontrunner. C) Statistically, OSU really beat up on ND badly. Passing yards were only like 50-60 higher, but they outrushed ND 275-62. ND gave up a season high 617 yards. D) I'm not going to win any popularity contests here for saying this, but OSU ended the season playing as good or better football than anyone in the Country and could beat any of the teams currently ranked higher than them if they played today. |

I agree with points B and D above. Just keep in mind that ND was, in fact, a five point underdog and if they weren't as good as everyone has been saying, then OSU's perceived upset victory doesn't mean much and point D falls on its face.

The simple reason OSU isn't playing tonight is turning the ball over....it cost them the UT game, it cost them the PSU game, and it cost them beating ND 50-20. If they eliminate turnovers next year, they will be difficult to stop.

If UT goes on to win, there's a possibilty that OSU jumps PSU for #2...after all, OSU beat a legitimate top 10 team convincingly and PSU barely scraped out a win against a team that probably shouldn't be ranked at all...
