Pros: Has good size and instincts, has consistently performed, puts up great numbers. Averages well over 100 tackles a year, lots of experience.

UNLV: The most prolific tackler in school history with 312 takedowns in just three years ... Along with teammate Jamaal Brimmer, can join QB/P Randall Cunningham as the only three-time first team all-league honorees in school history ... A unanimous selection as 2004 preseason First Team All-MWC (Athlon, CFN, Lindy's, Phil Steele's, The Sporting News) ... Ranked the No. 9 ILB in the nation by Phil Steele's, the No. 5 NFL prospect in the MWC by Lindy's and the No. 21 player in the MWC regardless of position by College Football News ... A local talent who was named to the Butkus Award Watch List in 2003 and 2004 ... Father, Tom, was co-captain of the 1978 NCAA Div. II champion Eastern Illinois squad and served as assistant coach at UNLV from 1986-89 under Wayne Nunnely ... Younger brother, Mark, was a 2004 signee with Nevada, Reno ...

2003: A First Team All-MWC choice by both coaches and media after starting every game at MLB ... The first UNLV LB to be named first team all-league since 1994 ... Ranked second in the MWC with 9.9 tackles per game and 119 overall ... Became UNLV's all-time tackle leader with 11 stops against CSU ... Matched his 15 takedowns at Air Force, the team's best single-game performance, with 15 stops vs. BYU ... Pulled in his first career interception at UNR to seal the Rebels' victory ... Grabbed his second pick vs. SDSU ...

2002: The 2002 Mountain West Conference tackle champion with 11.1 per game ... His 133 total tackles marked third-best total in school history ... Listed as the No. 23 player in the MWC regardless of position heading into season by College Football News ...Named First Team All-MWC by the media and Football News and second team by the league's coaches ... Thanks for the info. As for MLB, is he fast enough? I just think of our guys stringing out the outside runs to shut them down and get concerned. Does seem like the hard hat type of guy for us.
