Default #26 WOODSON : Cards worst-possible match-up for Stillers

Heard that Rod Woodson thinks the Cardinals offense offers the 'worst-possible match-up for the Pittsburgh defense', according to CinnaBon & Hornkaiser on PTI on the Wednesday 1/28/09 episode on ESPN

'spread the defense, throw the ball quickly between the seams'

Sure hope he is wrong

I just wish the damn game would be played already. Getting tired of a new thread being opened every 5 minutes agonizing over something yet another talking head says.

In theory yes...just like NE, they'll try to spread us out and throw to the flats and slot over the middle.

Of course we've changed over the years because of those cheating assbags, and hopefully our Nickle package holds up

I can see where he is coming from. The Cards have that blitz pick up offense who makes teams pay for blitzing. The Cards did it to us last season, but we are a much different team and the test will be alot greater.

I agree, but like it or not, Woodson should have intimate knowledge of the Stillers:
CinnaBon & Hornkaiser don't know the difference between crap & apple-butter

How? Based on last playing for the team in 1996? There's a reason he is in sports journalism and not coaching now. I'm sure Larry Wilson can give us a few valuable insights on how the Cards' secondary will do as well, then.

I thought all along that I didnt know who I would dread seeing, The Eagles with the passrush that just about killed Ben in the regular season or Kurt Warner and that powerful offense thuggernaught that the Cardinals are. Now I love the Steelers and have been a fan for wayyyy over 20 years and I can see reasoning with this game being a very close game and I dont really think the Steelers can score 17 points in this game and expect to win. They are gonna have to score in the 30's if they are gonna win on sunday in Tampa vs a very good Arizona Cardinals team.

You jack-up their receivers at the line (something "physical" Philadelphia inexplicably failed to do in the first half) - and Warner has nobody to hit with those fast dump offs.

Without a quick release, he's toast. We don't even have to sack him, just flush him and Warner is extremely mistake-prone.

Yeah, it'll be horrible when they score 10 points i garbage time en route to their 31-10 or 38-17 blowout loss.

Well....according to the talking heads on the stinking NFL network it seems as if the Steelers might as well not even show up on Sunday.
