Don't want this to turn into a big argument but prolly will..

I'm just curious of what are your arguments that the refs gave us the game? I'll give you ONE call, the roughing the passer on Ben and even THAT call was close. So please explain which of the 11 penatlies you had shouldn't of been called...

Just seems like you guys need something to bitch about and NEVER explain why the refs "gave the steelers the game".

I agree, I actually thought that finally it was decent.

Holding calls:

Please argue for a habit of not calling. Holding happens, a lot, almost every play. Unless you can argue that it was never called on blatant holds (ala Harrison holds up to this game not being called), please don't point that out.

Please don't get this started. I'm an an argument with a bunch of fans on a Saints' board they're all pissing and moaning how lopsided the officiating was. You would have thought the Cards played in New Orleans the way these cats are carrying on.

Final score: Steelers 27, Cards 23.

Penalties/yards: Steelers 7/56, Cards 11/106

Take away the 3 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties on the single drive for the Cards (all perfectly legit, BTW, but for the sake of this idiotic argument, we'll take them away) and the resulting FG for that drive, and the numbers look more like this:

Final score: Steelers 24, Cards 23.

Penalties/yards: Steelers 7/56, Cards 8/61- that difference represents a frigging offsides call.

They need to stop bitching. And then they need to adjust their tampons and get a clue.

Hmmmm...I see 11 penalties to 7. That's not all that lopsided.

Anbody bitching about the reffing can get back to me when to me when it's 13-2 (like the San Diego game).

The officials did not affect the outcome of this game.

It was a fair game, the steelers got penalized on everything they should have been penalized on and vice versa--they still won.

I was very impressed with the Steelers offensive front line that game more than anything -- not to take away from the impressive defense.
