I don't need SK to tell me that the entire Twilight series is mind-numbing pap targeted at young teenybopperrettes.

I've never touched the books, nor have I seen the movie - I have NO desire to... I'm over this whole Twilight thing that's been going on...

Have you seen the episode of South Park where they poke fun at the movie coming out and the zombie like following it's made kids into... (Hot Topic drones)... It's truly comical!

I remember when vampires were tough, and cool, not emo... I would like to stick with them...

Call me when the trend is over... The previews were enough for me to rule all the actors talentless... without having to see the movie... I hear a lot of "But the books are amazing"...

Sorry... I guess I'm too old to read about teen angst and still feel like I can relate... I'm not old, but I'm not in my teens either...

Now if you'll excuse me I have to cleanse myself of this sissy vampire thread and watch some good vampire movies and read some good vampire lore

Have you checked out HBO's series True Blood? I haven't read the books (by Charlaine Harris), but I reaally like the series and can't wait for the second season

I haven't seen it (we don't have HBO)... and I was sort of disappointed that we didn't have HBO, when I heard about it and I was interested.. I'll have to grab the DVD collection when it comes out!

King would have been fine if he'd stopped blathering after (rightfully) bashing Myers. He next felt it his moral obligation to rip on Dean Koontz and James Patterson. Tho' I've never read JP, IMO King's railings emanate from gorging himself on sour grapes. At least Koontz's books don't make me physically ill (as do King's).
