If you haven't picked up the current Sports Illustrated or the Super Bowl Commemorative Issue, you owe it to yourself to read Damon Hack's excellent cover story. It's quite long so I'll only post the link, but I wanted to share the last paragraph with you, because I think it contains one of the most beautiful and poignant closing sentences I've ever read.
Every time I open my commemorative issue -- I must have read it cover to cover about two dozen times by now! -- and see that sentence, I get a huge lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. For those of us who came of age during the Steelers' glory years of the 1970s, then went 26 years without a Super Bowl win, to now see the future stretched before us with so much possibility thanks to the quality of our coach and franchise players, this one sentence carries so much weight, such eloquence...if it doesn't move you when you consider it in that light, then I don't know if you can be moved. While that is a very nice article and all....Damon lives up to his last name. It was Moore in the flat on the first read and Hines covered on his second read. I am surprised he got Santo correct for the TD. Mr. HACK is one reason that SI is the laughing stock that it is.

Definitely glad I picked up this issue. I think SI does a pretty nice job covering the playoffs and super bowl

Except for the fact that they draw cards to come up with players actual names! Not fair to Mo and Hines that they got ZERO credit for that drive. I hate hacks!

Yea just chill a little Steel Mountain. Yes it was Mewelde and Hines, but overall the issue was pretty high quality and it was a great tribute to our team in such a small amount of time after the game. Writers make mistakes

Did not mean to touch any nerves. As I said it was a nice article, but writers get PAID to print fact. I hate it when my coworkers do sloppy work. It would have taken him a whole nother 10 minutes to get it right. I will try to lower my standards in the future.

does anyone have the hardcover of the commerative issue? is it the same as the paperback one i paid $6.99 for at Sheetz in Plum!? haha!
if it's the same damn thing, $20 is a rip off. i mean, yeah, it's a Steeler book flashing back their Super Bowl season. $20 should be worth it. i just want to know if it's the same as the paperback cover? also, does ANYONE have the Super XLIII dvd? if so, how is it?

Is the actual DVD even done and for sale yet? I know you can order it, but I thought I saw something where it wouldn't be shipped for a while...maybe I'm wrong though
