Pittsburgh fixes error in Super Bowl proclamation

Pittsburgh City Council has reissued a proclamation naming the city Sixburgh in honor of the Steelers' sixth Super Bowl win because last week's ceremonial announcement contained a statistical error.

The proclamation noted the 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals featured the first safety in a Super Bowl. The Cardinals scored two points when a Steelers offensive lineman was called for holding while quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was in the end zone.

Fans who wanted to frame the proclamation were annoyed by the gaffe — especially since the Steelers were responsible for the first safety in a Super Bowl.

in addition to steelers vs. vikings, i believe it was bruce smith who also sacked hostettler for a safety in sb 25.

wasnt the safety the first points that the steelers ever scored in a super bowl??? i feel like i heard that and thats why there is a picture of it at heinz field..
