Default Some love for Kevin Colbert.

Some detractors will say he doesn't do this and that, and he's no good. But the man has done a marvelous job bringing in talent for both Steelers championship teams in the 00's. Considering how much the NFL draft is a big crapshoot, he's hit more than missed. Whatever lucky charm he has in his pocket, I hope he never throws it away.

Thank you, Kevin Colbert. Keep up the good work.

I do feel like our Steelers are one of the best Drafting teams in the game right now.

IMO the top 4 NFL drafting teams it goes:

Steelers
Giants
Patroits
Cowboys (under parcells)

The steelers don't try to purchase Star players.... They create STAR PLAYERS!

I think Colbert and Omar Khan deserve a lot of credit for their handling of free agents and current player contracts.

The draft is more of a combination of what Ron Hughes and his college scouting staff do and their getting the info to Tomlin, Colbert and others. Ron Hughes deserves more credit for drafting players than Kevin Colbert.

Colbert is IMHO, a top GM.

He doesn't overspend on top priced free agents, doesn't have very many busts on his record, and finds very good talent.

colbert is a top 5 GM in the league, he never misses on first rounders, and has been solid in almost every aspect, but one problem he has is that we never get anyone good in the later rounds of the draft. But i guess he and the scouts make up for it with all our great UDFAs over the years.

Me too it particularly worried me that he went to Philadelphia. I would have hated to see him be succesful for that un deserving fan base.
