Hmmmm...maybe the Redskins will win one more game this year because of this (if it happens). Since they are mediocre regardless (you can't buy championships in team sports), maybe they win 9 games next year? 8 games? 10 games?

They'll lose in the 1st round of the playoffs anyway.

Who cares. If they wanna throw money at someone they will have to cut in 2 years for salary cap reasons let them.

Snyder has no idea what he's doing . . . trying to deal Carlos Rogers while signing Haynesworth to an enormous deal? What exactly do the Redskins think will happen when their O-line collectively retires?

the deadskins are barely under the cap as it is now. from what i've read, thier already trying to get randel el, and others to restructer thier deals. they'd cut el now but it would cost em more under the cap to cut him, than to keep him

appearantly el has already been dealt with.

the patriots have about 30 players contracts that expire after '09

the cowboys are set to be at $140 mil cap for '10

al davis is just plain nuts.

its appearant that certain owners are hellbent on ensuring there is no labor agreement for the shot of purchasing a ring.

the ultimate cost may be the rest of the [reasonable] owners locking out.

The Washington Post is reporting that defensive end Andre Carter and receiver Antwaan Randle El have restructured their contracts to free up some much need cap space. The paper is reporting that the Redskins were $5-$7 million over the salary cap heading into free agency. Carter and Randle El had deals set to expire after the 2012 season, but the new deals will go through 2015 and saves the club more than $4 million in salary cap space.

The Post is also reporting that the Redskins released punter Ryan Plackemeier on Thursday.
