How much did our SOS change from August to December last year? This is definitely subject to change.

I love to see the Pats with a top 5 difficulty...8-8 at best next year!

Goodell has nothing to do with the schedule. Only two teams (each year) are actually determined by the previous years results. Everything else is scheduled well in advanced. I could tell you who 14 of your opponents are for the next 4 years with a simple and quick search.

You don't even need to a search for that actually. Schedules rotate every year which could pretty much be an idea as to whom they play the following year.


For example: For the 2009 season the AFC North have the AFC West and the NFC North. In 2010, they will more than likely have the AFC East and the NFC South and so on..

the SOS always change week to week depending on how the teams did during the week...

SOS is kinda of pointless rly with the w-l record changing evry week

What I meant was that with a quick search, I could tell you who you will be playing each year (because of the conference setup) for the next 4-5 years (and possibly longer.)

I know who we all have next year...but a quick search will tell me who we have in 2010, 2011, 2012.

Outside of the 14 guaranteed games, there are a grand total of 2 each year based on the previous season's results.

if the SOS is based off the previous seasons winning percentages, then why would it change?.. they were still saying up until the end of the season that the steelers had the toughest schedule last year..

One thing i dont understand is how the Bengals/Browns have a tougher schedule than the Steelers.
We basically have the same schedule as our division except 2 games where seeding comes into play versus other afc divisions not on rotating schedule. So pitt would play the 1st place teams of AFC East and AFC South while Balt 2nd Cleve 3rd vand Cinci 4th.... so how the heck do Cinci / Cleve have a tougher stregth based on wins from previous year ?? No way the 4th place teams can have more wins.
