Default LB Fox to re-sign with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers kept one of their key backups by reaching a two-year agreement with linebacker Keyaron Fox.

Fox, according to a source, agreed to a two-year, $1.8 million deal that included a $380,000 signing bonus. The 27-year-old linebacker came to the Steelers in 2008 and helped out as one of the key players on special teams.

Good to hear that is a good signing he is good on special teams and could fill in if someone gets injured.

Now this is good. That guy was EVERYWHERE on special teams last year.

For some reason, I thought we'd already re-signed him, but oh well, I guess it's all the same now.

Yeah, he comes cheap. I think that Bailey and Madison were better special teams players, but it never hurts to have a vet like Fox who can play LB in a pinch too.

I hope Bruce Davis can supplant Frazier on special teams this year and free up a roster spot for another promising young guy.

The reason it wasnt done earlier in the offseason is he was looking for a place to start and when no one would give him that chance he resigned with us. I like this signing alot.

Another solid re-signing that flew under the radar. Let the rest of the football world waste time dissecting the Cutler trade. We'll just keep winning games and collecting jewelry.
