Default Does anyone have any info on Hines Ward???

I am a huge Hines Ward fan but since he's getting old everyone thinks he's not gonna get signed. Does anyone on here think he'll be signed or have information on it?

If he really wants to end his career as a steeler I imagine he will take a pay cut.

If he doesn't I'm not sure we will be able to afford him. I hope we can but Hines did hold out last time and the negotiations were difficult..

Given his age and injury history would he be worth breaking the bank for? After all we have a lot of players over thirty and we will need to resign our younger players like Heath Miller and Santinio Holmes.

I would love for Ward to retire a Steeler but I'm not sure it will happen.

I want Hines to retire as a Steeler. He embodies the Steeler Way. He deserves the team's loyalty too.

Hines will either sign or retire. I'd expect him to retire when his contract is up. I'd imagine he would want to end on a SB, like bettis.

what he did hold out for was the right to count $8.75 mil against our cap this year, and while he hardly ever ran the ball, threw it, or increased on his single season best stats, since signing that last deal, the steelers never asked him to take a reduction.

i really believes hines sees that stallworth, swann, bradshaw, greene, lambert, bettis, and even franco, have the keys to the city and have all went on to very lucrative careers beyond football. much in thanks to the steeler lore.

i believe he wants to be a part of that, and recognizes that taking less money to remain a steeler is actually an investment in his future.

My crystal ball sees him announcing his retirement with a Lombardi tropohy in his hand ala Jerome. He'll take the hometown discount a year at a time to make it happen.

A reporter asked him a question retirement at the parade and he just smiled that smile of his and said he wasn't going anywhere. I believe him.

I think Ward wants to retire a Steeler. I can see him taking a discount to do it to.

Hines Ward PITTSBURGH 82Rec 1047yrd 12.8 7TD's

The stats don't lie lads and he was our leading reciever last year. He is still one of Big Bens 1st down homies, he still goes through the middle, he still blocks like a demon. So what if he is in his 30's. Since when have any of us seen his work ethic demise? I love Ward, he is here for a few more years, that tough cookie aint going nowhere and it would be rude not to resign him, and **** hometown discount, if he his playing like a primary reciever then pay him what he deserves.
