Default Steelers 2009 Draft Day thread (4/25/09)

The draft begins in less than 2 hours...what will happen as 32 teams attempt to make sense out of the crap shoot known as the NFL Draft.

Will our beloved Steelers trade up or down? Will they take an O-Line, D-Line, or something else with the first pick.

Ah, the anticipation!

I've got hockey on the DVR - I'm gonna watch the Talladega jr race then that other stuff.

The Draft is not much of a spectator sport. (until the Steelers pick)

Like I said before Steelman.....Everytime I checked my draft...I kept coming up with Mack...Butler...Laurinaitis...and Harvin as possibly being there for us at #32....

I think Mack may go to the Bills with their second pick in the 1st....Butler may go earlier to the Ravens and is probably not a priority now that we picked up a CB in free agency....and out of Harvin and Laurinaitis, Laurinaitis values out higher. (And the Steelers rarely pass on value)

Part of me wishes we would go OL or DL...but I have to admit the thought of a future LB corps of Woodley/Timmons/Laurinaitis/Harrison sounds devastating.

Out of all the players you mentioned, the only player I don't want is Harvin. I'd be happy with everyone else. Harvin sounds like a Plaxico straight out of the gate.

The only first round DT grades or Raji, Kerry, and Hood....I would love for Hood to fall...but I think B.J. Raji goes very early...Atlanta grabs Peria Jerry .....and with as deep as the WR class is this year, I look for Indy to wait until the second round for Marvin Harrisons replacement and they grab Hood in the first.

Ziggy Hood would be an awful pick...he can't play in a 3-4...

I'd rather see them take Robiskie than Hood...
