Looks like the numbers are dropping for the Reps and increasing for the Dems?
But I have a feeling that many reps were just embarassed with Bush and will not admit they voted for him

Okay, seriously though.... How many of you out there vote for the party and not the person?

I am Dem. and would vote for anyone that I liked based on the individual, not the party and deffiently not what the so called "news stations" tell people to think

I will PROUDLY admit that I voted for GWB in 2004 (though I voted for Al Gorey in 2000 ) and I'm not embarrassed in the least. I will also freely admit that if he were able to run again for President, I would vote for him again, as would many other GOP'ers and yes - some Demos who, of course, would rather have their winkies hacked off than admit the same. Everyone has different priorities when it comes to why they back and vote for a candidate and my top priority is national security. I strongly believed that my family, those I love and this country were safe from terrorism and harm while GWB was at the helm. I can't say the same for our current President for a whole lot of reasons, but especially in light of his recent damning comments against America. He should be ashamed.

I've always voted candidate and not party. I was a Demo for over 25 years and during that time, I voted for many GOP candidates, including those running in local elections. Now that I am a proud member of the Republican party, I still vote candidate and whether my personal platform aligns with a particular candidate or not largely determines who I vote for. Our current County Executive is a Demo and is rumored to be considering running for Governor when Eddie The Hut's 2nd term is up next year. who I would back and vote for in a nanosecond. There are also local primaries coming up very soon and I am backing 3 Demos for borough council, as well as the Demo candidate for Mayor.

I've been voting Rep since R. Reagan but have voted for Demos in other elections. I grew up just southwest of Pittsburgh and everyone I knew was a Demo....but only because Dad was and grandpa was and his grandpa was....... Talk about sheepherder's!

I'm not in the least ashamed to say I voted for GWB. After 911 he made it his top priority to keep this country safe and he did that.

I'm a registered Independent. I voted for Bush twice. I never vote for a party, but I do subscribe more to Republican/Conservative principles. Having said that... I think all politicians suck!

I plan on registering Republican when I turn 18 and I will be eligible in the fall to vote for the first time. This year my school disrict's school board is up for Re-election and I plan to vote for 3 Republicans. I am not voting for them because of the fact they're in my party. I am voting for them because I know when I graduate, I know they're going to give a crap about the students. The number one issue to me when it comes to schools above all the academics, is safety. I know the 3 I plan to vote for are going to do a fantastic job should they make the fall ballot.
