No need to take offense here.... Its simply a question on if you vote for party or candidate. If you fell this is baiting people you have to option not to post on this thread!

When you ask someone to discuss something, you should know why some of us don't discuss it...and you should always expect a discussion.

There is an air of superiority feel to your post...as if you are ready to pounce on someone dumb enough to say that they go straight party line...and since many of your posts are very liberal, it really feels like you are just sitting there with your hands held up like a praying mantis waiting for someone to say straight republican.

Especially when the first portion of your post lends one to believe that republicans are wrong for voting for Bush...or have reason to be ashamed.

There is no superiority to my post. I apologize if it comes across this way. Im not here to pounce on anyone. I do not consider myself very knowlegable on politiccs and obviously do not have all the answers. I believe that as in all politics most of what the public hears is full of lies. I believe that many people end up voting on party and not the candidate and they listen to talk shows (which is somehow misconstrued as "news). Example of this is Fox and Friends, Hannity..e.g..
I just find it amazing that the same individuals on this board that say Bush did a great job and would vote for him again are completly against Obama and feel he is a complete failure in his 1st 100 days. To me its just silly.
My feelings on Bush? Well I believe most know that I think he will go down as the worst president in the history of the united states....but this remains to be seen.
When it comes right down to it I could care less who votes for who, what political party you are support or what your beliefs in general are about life. I would never look down on anyone and would not expect anyone to look down on me for my post/beliefs. Afterall, we are all on here because we love the steelers.
(you know you do to )

Full disclosure.

I’ll start by saying that I’m not at all interested in politics. Makes me want to puke but one needs to keep aware and involved because of the potential destructive impact on country.

Born in Pittsburgh in the first Eisenhower administration into a family that has been in Pittsburgh since the early 1800s. Presbyterian and Methodist families. Married into a good Southern family. Baptist and C of C families. Paternal side of both families viewed FDR as evil incarnate. Maternal sides of both families were the polar opposite. All that to say that there was / is a very broad range of religious and political perspective in the two families,

Grew up in the evil shadow of totalitarianism and communism. Lived with the legacy of socialist tyrants and liberal fascists – Wilson, Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, FDR, Mussolini. We did regular air raid drills in school into the 60s because of the world these @#$%s created. Seminal events that shaped early thinking - Nikita Khrushchev announcing at the UN that they would bury us from within, the Viet Nam war and the anti-war movement reaction to it.

Watched as the Frankfurt School and their children Marcuse, Horkheimer, Fromm, Benjamin, Adorno, Lowenthal, et al systematically destroyed American education through the indoctrination of cultural marxism. What deconstruction does to literature and culture, critical theory does to a society. American universities have embraced and advanced anti-Americanism influenced by their luminaries Zinn, Chomsky and Vidal. The world class pervert Kinsey destroyed our moral fabric.

Just preceding and during my lifetime, socialism has left a wake of murdered millions. We’ve been taught that the nazis were the champs at 6 million. When you count the Christians, the tally is closer to 20 million. Depending on who is counting, the sovs trumped their socialist brethren in the 80-100 million range. One can only imagine how many have perished at the hands of the chicomms. Not to be outdone, American liberalism leaves a wake of millions of murdered children.

The entire political spectrum has moved left over my lifetime. Ronald Reagan was always Ronald Reagan . He didn’t leave the dems, the dems left him. Today, HHH would be vilified as a conservative, yet Gore, Kerry, Obama and their ilk are considered acceptable candidates by many.

This last was the 10th national election for me. I have voted a straight rep ticket each time, not because I necessarily agree with the reps, but because the other team has so steadfastly gone against my country and presented us with such horrible candidates, the latest being beyond belief. GHW Bush is a liberal, but was a considerably better choice than the tank commander or that roach from Arkansas. GW Bush (WTF is “compassionate conservatism”?), while not presidential timber by any measure, was the only choice against the two leftist lying loons he ran against.

I take issue with the term “hater”. I don’t hate anybody except terrorists, whether they be bolshevik, turk, viet cong or islamofascist . I do hate socialism in all the various forms that it’s plagued humankind.

Strict constitutionalist. The founders had it right. The left has tried to destroy it since.

Dream ticket – Forbes / Gingrich or vis versa

Now you disclose.

For your lack of knowledge on politics, you sure have been posting an opinion an awful lot. What's funny is that you site Fox, Hannity as if they're the only "talk shows that are misconstrued as news." Maybe you haven't watched much CNN/MSNBC, but they're just as biased as Fox News...the only difference is in the direction that they lean when they spout their drivel.

Unless you believe for one second that what "so called comedian" Janean Barfamellow said is true about the tea parties...that they're all tea bagging racists rednecks.

I watch my news from both channels and make up my own mind on what's really happening...I don't trust the spin of the media and I don't trust the spin of a campaigner.

What makes Bush the worst president? Is it the budget issues? Because budgets need to be approved by congress...which (by the way) in the last 4 years in particular, were very much liberal. So blame Bush for your liberal congress and their liberal spending ways...but 4 years from now, that excuse is washed up...and you can only continue to Hope for Change.

I will add that I do not base my selection on abortion or gay marriage because it would be the same as voting for party not candidate. Either issue will never change.
Prime example was the past 8 years Bush was in office. The republicans basically had controll of everything there for awhile and the two issues did not even come up to the supreme court.

If there is more you would like to know ask individal questions and I will do my best to answer them. Who knows they may be questions I must find out about myself first.

Oh... Dont you watch Bill Maher

I do not like Bush because he accomplished nothing in his 8 years in office. Unless you count the war in Iraq that he got us in to find the weapons of mass destruciton. I love how Obama is being acused of trying to do "too much" in his 1st 100 days. Not something Bush was ever acused of doing?
