Posted before but felt moved to post it again.

Brothers In Arms

This urban jungle is home now for me
But my hearts with my boys...And always will be.
We returned to our jobs, our homes and our farms
But my heart still remains with... my brothers in arms

Through the blood and the mud and the enemy fire
I've never again felt my emotions run higher
And though the dreams still wake me In fear and alarm
I often still miss all...my brothers in arms

The strength of my arm, and the speed of my feet
are now constant reminders that youths short and sweet.
But for us who stood between others and harm.
The memories stay young...dont they?....My brothers in arms

May God's continued speed guide you in protecting and serving this fine nation of ours, and in God's care may each of you return home to the land of the free.

For those who have served and those who we lost, a most profound "Thank You".

So, what did we all do for Memorial Day?

Me and my Fiance took the dog for a hike through the local swamp. Then we went over to my buddies house, ex marine, and had a BBQ while he had the whole Band of Brothers series playing on the TV outside. Had a great time, enjoyed the day off, hung out with some good friends, and said a little prayer for those who gave all!

Answered numerous phone calls, had BBQ Ribs and BBQ Chicken w/ homemade cole slaw and just hung out and took it easy with the family...enjoying the time home with them.

Went to a Minor league ball game, had a picnic on the berm in the outfield....then caught the movie "Taken" at the one dollar theatre. (For those who haven't seen it...imagine Jason Bourne getting older...and someone kidnapping his daughter....and now he's pissed....'nuff said)

Got three phone calls from some of the "guys"

Attended a parade like I do every Memorial Day since high school. I never let this day go by without attending one.
