the colts mightve a few years back. not sure but they always suck during pre-season.

on the flipside is the detroit lions who i think were the only team to go undefeated last season in the games that dont count.

That 3rd one could say a lot about the team.

now i'm just curious about who's gonna be the backup, batch or dixon. i'm guessing batch will be just because dixon's still so young, but based on tonight i wouldn't be that shocked if dixon beats out batchy for the second spot.

i knew from his oregon days that he had an arm, he just needs to clamp down his decision making skills. also i think sometimes he lofts the ball a little too much on short passes, that can work in college but it won't cut it in the nfl, the corners are too fast so if he's going short he really needs to laser it in there..he has the arm strength to do that though. also he tends to go deep a lot, which can be good, but i feel like he goes deep even if it's a low percentage pass (i.e. into coverage near a safety), tonight it didn't bite him in the ass against 3rd stringers but it will in the future if he keeps it up.

lot of raw talent though, could be great if he develops properly.

The only thing I saw with Dixon tonight that was a consistent negative, is that he wasn't familiar with the speed of the pro game. He under threw passes. Had he put some of those passes out there further and let the players run to them, he would have been great.

But without any game time last year, and probably no time under center with the first or second string (or very little), you really have to expect that from him.

Dixon was awesome, he made some great throws- Timmons stunk up the place. He was pathetic trying to stop the run.
Whiff whiif whiff whiff - Woods outplayed him by a mile.

Let's give him a couple more games before you send out the mob, Killer. I'm sure they will look at film and it will be addressed.

I replayed every down he played - backwards and forwards - a dozen times - he was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Horrible. He's still got a lot to learn, he has no nose for the RB. Whiff whiff whiff.

I don't think he trusts his instincts yet. After all, he's just 23 years old - a lot of players are rookies or 2nd-year players just out of college at that age. I realize that there were concerns about his run-stopping ability, but I believe that he'll get better. He has too much friggin talent NOT to. Plus, I doubt very seriously that Dick LeBeau will stand for that for very long before he starts getting in his ear, not to mention Harrison and Farrior, the latter who praised him last week in an interview.
