Dino, you must have Brett Favre confused with somebody else, Brett has been nothing like that for the past few seasons. He singlehandedly derailed good Packer teams that have been far superior groups to the 2008-09 Vikes.

He wasn't even that great last year even before the shoulder injury.

The Brett Favre hype is driving me nuts. Yes, he likes playing the game, but that doesn't mean he's still any more than an average QB.

You are entitled to your opinion and all. But I think he made is abundantly clear yesterday that he doesn't care what the GB fans think. He stated it's his legacy and what he thinks of it that matters. I truly don't understand why people are so enraged about Favre wavering. WHO CARES? It's his career. Whether it turns out to be a mistake or not. Isn't it? If he's so washed up, then why would ANY NFL team entertain the idea of bringing him onboard with all the BS? A Super Bowl contender I may add. You can dislike Favre and his decision making all you want, but he's doing what he wants to do regardless of who likes it. And I respect that.

If he were a running back or linebacker or receiver he could do the same thing and nobody would care.

I'm not sure this will kill his legacy as much as people are thinking right now. Emmitt Smith, Willie Mays, Jerry Rice, Franco Harris, etc. all hung on too long and ended their careers with the wrong team.

I love how he focused on his injury during his presser yesterday. To me, it came across like "...and don't forget I've got this partially torn rotator cuff. So if I stink it up on Sundays, remember; it isn't because I've lost it or that I've been a heave-it-up-and-pray marginal QB for years now, it's because of this here injury."
I hope Rosenfels beats him out. If all things were equal...and they aren't...I think it could happen.

when he pulled similar stunts (will-he or won't he retire) on the Pack his last few seasons there, I changed my opinion of him:

For the past few years, he has been. Anyone can see his skills are on the decline, it's just a question of how much. And all that improvisational bullshit he used to do isn't working so well anymore.
