Doug Legursky has played really well. He could the answer to a position the Steelers have had trouble with the past couple years. If he keeps it up they might be set at center, with Legursky as the starter and AQ Shipley as the back up. I just hope they don't resign Justin Hartwig, who is easily the worst center in the NFL.

they won't re-sign Hartwig and he isn't that bad

but yeah I too am excited about Legursky. Obviously he has been working hard to improve and it is showing. I hope he keeps it up and is our starting Center next year

lemme guess....you're basing this off looking at his sacks allowed right?

I just re-watched the game and I gotta agree---he was absolutely holding his own against Haynesworth.

I'm his #1 fan right now...and I also agree that he's better than Stapleton (and probably better than Starks, too)

Hit of the game: On a running play in the second quarter, Redskins fullback Mike Sellers flattened Steelers inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

That's not entirely true - the hit of the game was when Woods splattered the return guy on a kick-off.

The stadium shook.

Its not popular to say...but I dont like Hartwig either...I would like to see Legursky in the middle with Kemo on one side and Essex on the other until Urbik is ready to start.

if he is the worst center in the NFL then the steelers also have the worst LT, LG, RG and RT in the NFL. hartwig was pretty much the best O-lineman for the steelers last year.

Let's face it, Haynesworth is a beast and Legursky managed him pretty well.

Legursky is strong as hell, works his ass off and has a great attitude.

I couldn't happier about the prospects for this kid.

I watched Legursky play for 4 years at Marshall and he has a real nasty streak. He is a steal. He's a monster in the weight room and has also been timed at 4.8 in the 40. I hope he gets a real shot at starting.
