Will Ziggy Hood be active for thursday gameday?

I was looking thru the roster and wondering who would be the 8 inactive players to get down to the 45 man roster that dresses on gameday. Being the #7 D lineman on the depth chart might have us seeing Hood in sweats on gameday. I can just imagine the freaking out fans.

Here is who I think might be inactive:
-Dixon (emerg QB can dress)
-Foster
-Urbik
-Timmons(injured)
-Burnett
-Arnold Harrison
-Mundy
-Hood

If it happens, I can see a bunch of fans bitching like they did with Timmons 2 years ago and Mendenhall last season.

I think McDonald could be one. Don't get me wrong I'm glad McDonald is on the roster. The coaching staff seems content with Sweed and Wallace right now and they might be keeping McDonald around if an injury occurs especially if Ward or Holmes go down for any length of time.

Just a thought.

I doubt it will be McDonald. They need him if Sweed starts getting the dropsies. Hood is more likely.

I agree. I think there will be one WR inactive for the game. We can do that since they can always use Logan on the field in an emergency. It will either be McDonald or Wallace. They may be lured by Walace's speed to keep him active. On the other hand, if Hines goes down, McDonald would probably be his best replacement.

wouldnt really surprise me to see him inactive, but it doesnt mean anything in a bad way in my opinion except that he is behind a very solid starting core at Defensive Line

I don't know. Ziggy runs a 4.8 40-- which usually means nothing in the NFL... except for kickoffs. Because for about the first 30 yards, it is nothing more than a sprint in your lane.

I pay close attention to kicks... but was Ziggy on the Kick coverage team?

I don't know if it will be Hood. I think he will be in the defensive line rotation.

McDonald could be inactive.

I dont think he was on kick teams. Could be McDonald inactive, but when Timmons is back it could be Hood still.

I just think its funny how many knee jerk fans called Timmons a bust 2 years ago, Mendenhall now and will probably soon start complaining their #1 draft pick isnt even dressing on gameday.

I would Hood would sit before McDonald. We only need 6 DL on game day and I would guess that he is the lowest on the totem pole.
