Langston Walker was just released by the Bills. He would make a great backup to Starks or Colon. He might come pretty cheap. We need someone who can possibly replace Colon after this season. I believe Walker is fairly young. What do y'all think?

It sounds to me like Foster or Hills are great candidates to replace Colon if need be. All they have to do is be adequate.

For now, I'd rather save the cap room and use it on re-signing a guy we need (Clark) rather than a free agent backup offensive lineman.

Walker is actually younger than Mark Tauscher, who I talked about being a good signing in another thread. Not a bad pickup if he could be signed cheap. He only allowed 3 sacks last year as a right tackle.

I think if Colon is not extended, that Tony Hills or Trai Essex will replace him at RT.

Ramon Foster isnt quick enough to be a decent pass protector at the OT position, but either Foster, Urbik or Legursky can definately play RG next year.

I would not be opposed to Walker being signed cheap as some kind of vet insurance, but dont think its necessary.

i just hope our o line steps it up this year, and trai essex can play equally oor better than stapleton

him, tauscher, or levi jones would all work for me
if we sign one of them, we could push colon into guard and start one of them at RT

Even though yeah it'd be nice to have a vet backup at T...but i think we'll be fine...i wouldnt want to cut any of the OL guys we have now. Shoot if a T went out and they wanted someone with more experience than Hills/Foster then they could move Essex and plug Legursky or someone in there too. I know it would stink to change the lineup again but it could work fine.
