new offensive weapon?

is it just me or did i not notice ben doing pump fakes last year. Coz it seems like this year he keeps doing all these monster fakes.

Ben seriously pump fakes on almost EVERY SINGLE pass play and im not exaggerating at all! They seem to work and freeze the defense for that second he needs to get the throw off to an open receiver. In the super bowl on his winning throw he pumped THREE times and it was just enough for Holmes in the corner!

I remember a huge pump fake in AFCG against Denver that went for a TD.

I think he may be doing them MORE now. But I also remember him doing them since the first year.

i agree with Preacher, i remember him doing them for years, but he does seem to be doing it alot more these days...hey, if it works, he can do it 1000 times a game if he wants

His pump fakes are effective because he has such big hands he is able to put a great deal of force into his motion which really sells the fake.

He seems to do them more in the second halves of games. It must take Arians watching tape to realize the D is jumping as soon as his arm moves forward. The one pump fake he did froze three players on the deep pas that Ward fumbled.
