I went to my first game on 22 November 1972, the night before Thanksgiving, against Barclay Plager & the St. Louis Blues, the game in-which 'da Guins scored the 5 fastest goals in League history (2:07), at a time when the Ogloo held about 12,600 people, max (no luxury-boxes or balconies at either end):
I moved to Florida 3+ years ago, and when my dad died this past February, I wanted to attend a 'final' game there when I went back, but nobody would go with me. I had 'first-dates' with 3 different women there, converted many friends & former in-laws into Penguin fans, and saw the Guins tie the mighty Rooskies in the mid-'80s: I'll miss that old barn.
