Default What's the biggest difference

Without putting a whole lot in words. What would you say is the single (your only allowed to pick one) biggest difference in the way the pro football is played today versus when the Steeler's were winning Super Bowls in the 1970's.

Mine would have to be the free space that receivers have.

The money involved. Most players back in the day HAD to have offseason jobs to keep food on the table. The most Bradshaw ever made in a season as a player IIRC was 30K.

Parity. There is no dominant team in the NFL any longer.

Every year, nearly every single team has a shot. Very few fall into the category of the Chiefs, Lions, etc.

1978 rule change. you had to be able to run in the 70s to win. they also weren't so protective of the QBs in the 70s.

i would say parity, nobody stays dominant for more than a season, the patriots won 2 super bowls in a row cuz belicheck knows how to draft and pick up good free agents for cheap, look at the SB winners the past 10 years, only the patriots and the steelers (to an extent) have stayed consistently all decade
