Plax Punts Agent
A league source tells us that receiver Plaxico Burress has fired agent Michael Harrison following a disastrous effort to place the former first-round draft pick, widely considered to be one of the best wideouts available in the current crop of free agents. On Friday night, there were rampant rumors that Burress would be making a change. On Saturday night, we learned that Plax has indeed punted Harrison, and that the former Steeler plans to retain the services of Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. Burress previously fired agent Eugene Mato, and the consensus is that Harrison badly bungled the effort to find a new home for his client. Among other things, Harrison spent too much time calling teams to drum up interest, engaged in grossly superficial ploys with the media to create the appearance that teams were pursuing Plax, and failed to accompany his client to his visit to the Giants, which alienated the powers-that-be in New York. So once the mandatory waiting period expires following the termination of an agent, look for Burress to formally sign Drew and Jason Rosenhaus. hehe

drew rosenhaus is one of the best negotiators in the business, so if he cant get it done for plax in some way, I'd be really surprised. But how much of the blame for plax's lack of dollars and a new team this offseason is the agent and how much of it falls on plax ???

I'd take him back for more 1 year.. damn, Ward, Plax, El, and Wilson. Yeah, we'd have a unbeatable group of WR everywhere for Ben to operate with. Yeah, I'd take him back to help out !

I think kranchick has some good talent and potential. I'd look for him to play a bigger role this year, now that Jay R. is gone.

I don't think Plax will be back. Drew would hold us out for too much and we simply wouldn't cave since we signed Wilson, and so many other options are out there.
