Default Sunglasses

I love different styles of sunglasses, not just for their appearance but also their function. Polarized are important here in Santa Barbara (I live less than a mile from the beach), but I appreciate the larger lenses that provide great coverage from the sun, even in the lower corners. Another important factor is a pair that is free of distortion at any point or angle.

Anyone try the Kaenon Hard Kore sunglasses? They look Bad Ass to me!

I already have a pair of Revo's for my truck. They are awesome!

I've got a few more pair floating around, but am curious to see if anyone else is into shades?!

gargoyles all the way.

they were popularized by arnold as the terminator.

the only thing i liked about dale earnhardt before his passing was he wore the same shades as me (gotta love bulletproof shades)-

Gargoyles glasses are 50 times stronger than safety glass and 20 times stronger than structural aluminium! The Gargoyle sunglasses pictured at left withstood the impact of a .22 caliber bullet from 10 feet.

Gargoyle sun glasses patented Dual Lens Toric Curve with its zero-prism design corrects for normal distortion encoutered with many sunglasses, so that the image you receive is always accurate and clear. This design provides up to 210 degrees of peripheral coverage--the most extreme wrap on the market.
i have always had the mirror lens classic but bought a pair of the thunder (which were designed for/sponsored by dale jr.) when they came out.

i prefer those over the flashier classics (i do want a a pair 24k gold edition though- cant go wrong with black n gold).

i forgot my shades before work one morning last week. i had to go to wal-mart. they have nice pairs for 5 bucks that look an awful lot like the gargoyles thunders.

i also like a cheap pair of john lennon circle glasses.

I really like Oakleys for running. Rudy Project is a good smaller company, they make shades for just about everything, tactical, sailing, running, biking etc. My all time favorites are Maui Jim's though. Those are the best lenses I've ever worn.

I used to buy cheap sunglasses and break them or lose them all the time. Once I invested in a nice pair, and justified the cost by purchasing polarized for the health of my eyes, I began to show a much needed appreciation for them. But, I still own a couple pair of Costco cheapies!

I still have one pair of Oakleys that have a nasty scratch. I love the lightweight type with rubber nose tips! A pair of Maui Jims stays in my Z06 for driving days! They are sweet!
