Default What if Question.

This may be a little late, but, what if Ben after being our qb for 15 years, went to the Ravens, and came back to Heinz Field. Would you cheer or boo him ?

did Ben retire and come back? plus I know Ben would never do that
Since he's my favorite player and the reason why I started watching football, I'm not sure what I would do lol

I'd cheer for him.... If he wants to play football and the Ravens happen to sign or trade for him I will not boo him. If Hines Ward or Polamalu were traded to the Ravens I wouldn't hate them either.

Boo him. I'm a Steelers fan not a fan.

Depends on the situation. If he retired, came back and wanted a starting gig (even though he said he was retired and we had a young QB ready to start), and then we traded him, he played for a year, then retired again, and then pursued a division rival, then I'd probably boo him.

But if he left on good terms then I have no need to boo him. I think most Packers fans are most upset at the way Favre left and acted.

edit: realized my 2nd point was the opposite of what i meant

I have to agree with Warden here. I am a Steelers fan, not a player fan.

It depends. Does he go to another team because it was really in everyone's best interests, as sometimes happens toward the end of your career? Or does he diva his way out of town? In the first case, he'd get polite applause from me, at least in the pre-game introductions ... but in the second case, he'd get a hearty "f*** you" just like anyone else.

If he had given us the success Favre had given Green Bay, and if he had wanted to come back but the Rooney's wouldn't let him, (like what happened to Favre), no.
