Default Worst job market in 20+ years...

Above 10 percent ?

If you count those who are not looking for work anymore, above 17 percent? Well, you get what you ask for, and we have asked for this for a loooong time.

Maybe NOW the politicians will leave the economy well enough alone and let it regulate itself... though I doubt it. Car companies should have failed two and three times over. Instead, we keep them afloat, and NOW had to bail them all out at once. Lovely. And just who is going to by those cars when almost 20 percent of America is unemployed?

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

Now, we are going to create national healthcare and drive the private industries out of business? (Don't think for a SECOND that isn't what is happening, when the govt. gives itself a 80 percent ratio to the private insurers 60 perent ratio for costs v. profits.

Even more brilliant.

This president is more and more starting to look like Jimmie Carter.

Let's just hope the next Ronald Reagan is around the corner.

Amen to that, Preacher. But I'd actually prefer Jack Ryan!

Maybe a bit of a tangent, but who exactly are these people who have "stopped looking for work?" I don't buy that statistic one bit and never have.

I mean, do they REALLY expect me to believe that out of all the people who have lost their jobs, half of them are just standing around with their dick in their hand?

How are these people, you know ... eating, or having a place to live? That shit doesn't just take care of itself, and it's not like 10% of the country is suddenly homeless. More like those people are working here and there, or freelancing, or something like that.

I'm one of those people (for now), but it's more by choice and ability more than anything else.

Only thing I can figure is maybe some of the people who's significant others are still working and supporting the whole household, or possibly put on disability or unemployment benefits (this number would fluctuate though).

Or it could be what Mach said...drug dealing, free lance porn stars, stuff like that lol.

Its all under control.

All we have to do is throw another 787 billion dollars in stimulas packages into the economy and we can "save" another 640,000 jobs.

Lets do the math...787 billion...divided by 640,000.

Now that is money well invested!!!!...It only cost us $1,229,687.00 dollars for every $50,000 dollar job "saved"!!!!
