This is Bettis' last year. He is from Detroit. The Super Bowl is in Detroit. The Steelers have won an unprecidented trip to the Super Bowl from the 6th seed.

The year of 9/11, the "Patriots" go to and win the Super Bowl.

I hope I am just being retarded on this matter, but can someone please reassure me that the NFL DOES NOT artificially shape the Win/Loss columns to get better ratings.

If games were "artificially shaped" I would have thought the either of the NY teams or Washington would have won in 2001.
