Pray for my family
Today is a very sad day for my family. My Grandma passed away today. She had beaten Lymphoma, but the chemotherapy completely killed her bone marrow. She went into the Cleveland Clinic about a month ago for some problems and pain. While there, she caught pneumonia and she just wasn't producing white blood cells.
Monday night, she decided that she was tired of fighting and just wanted to go. She refused her medications and told the doctors that she just wanted to go to sleep. She passed while I was driving down Carnegie Avenue in Cleveland on my way to the hospital. Through the clouds I saw a single ray of light peek through, and at that moment I felt that she was gone. So please, pray for my family as we deal with this. Thank you. -Thomas Hanlon

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your grandmother, Tom.
I hope you had time with her to share your feelings before she passed. Sometimes it helps to believe there is a reason for everything that happens. My mother was in the very advanced stages of Parkinsons and near death when our daughter was born but lived just long enough to hold her and say some special things in an extremely rare moment of lucidity. She died less than 2 weeks later. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, friend.
