While I do think Arians is a good coach - he's clearly saying all the right things to his guys on offense, who believe they can do whatever they want, even when they can't - he's no game manager, and doesn't seem to see the big picture. Eating up the clock, spelling your D, setting up play action, dominating the opposition psychologically... these are all things that come with the run.

That, at least, is what great coaches over the years have told us a million times, not least of which were Noll and Cowher. I doubt very much that Arians has discovered a new paradigm that those guys did not. Keeping your defense rested and just plain off the field should be clear enough to anyone. That alone should be reason enough to refocus on the run.

I think both Carter and Clark are in the final year of their contracts. Not likely that the Steelers will try to sign both veteran Safeties on the team. They probably just try and sign one....then use the other $$ for contracts to Colon, Hampton, Holmes or Woodley.

Should be time for Mundy to be an inexpensive backup.

What if 2010 is uncapped ? I would love to sign both players, Troy said Carter is a good and tackles better than himself, maybe the FO could listen

If that is true troy is being very modest IMO.
