Great player, just sad to see the game pass him by... If you take away the cronic injuries/hodgkins and pre-mature retirement he was IMO every bit the player Gretzky was.

This is a sad day....

I grew up watching him play and celebrated the Pens cups at the point in the early 90's.

You will be missed Mario!!

Mario was always my favorite. He's a true class act. I'm sad to see him retire, but yet I can understand why it's time. Thank you, Mario! Good luck and best wishes.
