Total absence of Steeler Football

I have been following the Steelers since 1975. This is the first time I feel I'm not watching the Steelers. Even when the team sucked in the late 80's they were the Steelers. Had the attitude and toughness.

Addressing the 6-6 record so far.

This team has top 5 talent. Period. Sad.

Arians runs an offense that is more concerned with passing numbers than winning.
You pass to score, you run to win. The running game sets the tone of a physical team. How many times did we have a 3rd and 2 and threw it, 5 wide ? Too many times for me.

The 4th quarter belonged to us for years. Now, a wimp attitude playing scared and soft prevails. We cannot close out anyone. It is like rebounding in basketball = All attitude.

ST have cost us dearly. Why is that ST coach on our staff ? His track record is that of an unqualified coach. Why does the best franchise in sports employ a guy who is clearly a bad coach ?

Why do we see poor catching and tackling every game ? These are fundamentals. This is the Steelers, not the Browns. If you can't catch or tackle why are you on this roster ?

4th and inches. We can't just hand off to our RB and get 1 yard ? We have seen this all season. Not being able to get 1 yard is not Steeler ball. It is all about toughness and attitude...you need to have your guys shove the other guys back 1 yard. If you have to try trickery on 4th and short - you are scared the other guys are stronger. Not Steeler ball !

Why does the Head Coach give the team a vacation of epic proportion during bye week, when the team needs practice ?

Why does the Head Coach run a flag football training camp trying to save his players later in the season ? Just think, now their golf swings will be strong.

Why do we have one of the best TE's in football and not use him ? Miller is a weapon wasted.

This is not Steeler ball - this is thinking your smart, but are dumb football.

Well i heard some say this isnt the old Steelers anymore. I even heard Collinsworthless say it last Sunday night Ravens game. We seemed to have gotten away from the fundamentals of what we used to do tho. I believe it was The great Jerrome Bettis once said (Smash mouth football baby, Pittsburgh style).

Yeah, same style that lost us a SB and 4 AFCCGs at home until we got a QB that could actually throw the damn ball.

Nice post. There is blame throughout the entire team and coaching staff for this season.

The Steelers offense is more concerned about throwing the deep routes rather than taking the check down passes and taking what the defense gives us.

This is the most disappointing season I have experienced as a Steelers fan in my 33 years.....and it's not even close what the 2nd place finish is.
