I think alot has to do with free agency, that happens before the draft, and I wouldn`t rule out a wr, that wasn`t in your poll

DO NOT be surprised if we go OL in the first round. The steelers know the consequences of not having alot of talent depth wise on the OL, so dont be surprised to see us grab one in the first round, or if not then, the 2nd.
My pick is go DL first, we need to sure that up, since it takes a DL a good year or 2 to be come proficient in the 3-4. Day 1 draft pics for me are DL, CB, OL ..possibly WR if something falls into our laps. |

i wouldnt take a WR. Hines ward is the most reliable WR in the NFL and Randle EL or Cedrick wilson may give us somewhat of a big play threat with their speed that we lost with plax

I dont think we'll ignore WR in the draft, especially if we can get a big tall one w/ some speed. Cedric will give us the downfield speed threat to break one on a post pattern and outrun everybody, but we need some insurance along w/ Zamir Cobb, to have a big tall guy for the Fades and jump balls.

Something else to watch out for, is how does Ben adjust to not having a veteran target like that to throw to. For all the dropped balls that plax has to his credit. He did make some super nice grabs for ben this past season that bailed him out of jams, so we'll see come september how our WR core steps up for him.

The Steelers almost always draft WR's that aren't the fastest, but ones that are the toughest. Plax was about as tuff as a donut! I mean really, when u think about it. how many times did he make a catch and go down on the first tackle, or just fall down and not get up for more yards. That's one thing that always bugged me about him. Hines and El will fight thru tackles just to gain and extra yard or too. The least plax could have done was fall forward for a few yards now and then!
