Getting back to the NASCAR comparison, football players risk injury, perhaps career-ending injury, and many of them just don't go, or only play 3/4 speed to cut down on injuries, but they want the honor (and the contract negotiating juice). NASCAR drivers drive balls out at their All-Star event, and they literally risk their lives for a little money and a lot of fan fun.
i always watch cowher and all those steelers in the pro bowl too, and i too, will be tuning into this years pro-bowl game. who can forget m. faulk breaking o.j. 's record setting preformance? plus it is the nfl.

i do understand the points of view of those who are against it though. wasnt it a hit in the pro-bowl game last year that caused t. bruschis stroke?

great marketing for nascar to start right after nfl ends.

the AFC is at a disadvantage this year because the players are so used to Cowher being the coach.

brady just has a bruised ego and decided not to play because of it. He thought he was god and would win every superbowl until he retired. Now that they aren't going this year, he decides not to play in the Pro Bowl. Sounds like he is a little girl who needs to go home and cry because of a bruised ego.
