Thank goodness we actually got thru one offseason, for the most part atleast, without losing half our coaching staff. Seems like every year we lose atleast a couple staff members to other teams for upgraded coaching positions. It'll be nice to keep the group together again. Especially lebeau and whisenhunt.
I really like darren perry as our DB coach too. he's really helped out troy and the other others to blossom. |

Yeah I know, that worries me alot every offseason.. losing our coordinators like that. I wonder if Lebeau will ever get another shot at a head coaching job or if he's just content to be a defensive coord. from now on.

whisenhunt wasnt bad in the post season IMO. we stuck w/ what got us there, the running game..but when u fall behind by that much, u gotta throw the ball, and Ben's turnovers, jerome's fumbles, the ST breakdowns...just flat out killed us.

There are certain people cut out for head coaching and others that arent. Not a knock on them either way. Now in lebeau's defense, he walked into a nightmare of a team w/ the bungals.. and owner who was cheaper than a $2 hooker, and next to ZERO talent to begin with.
But I think dick is quite content to be back in Blitzburgh and resurrecting the defense that made him famous. |

I beleive your right about some are great assisstants, and some make great head coaches and some don`t. I hope Romeo falls into that some don`t, it sure did take him forever to get his first gig.

Reason I said Wisenhut would get mentioned is someone is going to like that he came from us, so organizationally he is sound. The fact Haslett is still kicking shows that credit. But more important, we ran the ball 60% of the time and we scored probably around 17-24 points per game. Being able to mix it up(or at least enough to make it work) is going to entice some owners. Look at New England. Wanted guys who took no names and played great defense, heres Romeo. Want a guy who can just move the chains with a variable offense, heres Charlie. Somebody will eventually say you know what first it was Mike then Ken. Those guys must know something. Whether he knows it or not, someone will think it.
