Shout Box?
I think it would be a nice touch to the board. Usually they are located at the bottom of the forum screen. It allows active users to chat quicker and easier than PM's or posting. It is always active 24/7 and is a great way to pass time while hanging out at the site. I dont know what it would take or if it could be done..........just a suggestion.

hey, good call. Shoutboxes are cool ! Ive seen them on VB boards as well as php boards. Lots of fun to pass the time inbetween posting.

I don't understand the logic of people adding shoutboxes to forums. Isn't the entire purpose of a forum to record chat? Maybe I'm missing something. Not sure.
If what you're looking for is instant communication, maybe you'd be better off using the LIVE CHAT feature located at http://www.steelersfever.com/chat.html. But, be aware... there are rarely any people that use it. Probably because of all the pesky pop-up ads that won't go away until I purchase a paid version. I don't have the money for that right now! |
