PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers left guard Chris Kemoeatu will sit out Sunday's game against Green Bay with right wrist and right knee injuries.
Coach Mike Tomlin says Kemoeatu has been "playing one-handed" at times because of the wrist injury and that he needs a week off to heal. Kemoeatu will be replaced by undrafted rookie Ramon Foster. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will miss a fifth consecutive game with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, an injury that has been slower to heal than the team expected. Polamalu hopes to play in the Steelers' regular season finale Jan. 3 in Miami, but he could miss the rest of the season. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...s&confirm=true LOl Aaron Rodgers, career high day |

Well, Foster seemed to do OK in place of Kemo, so that doesn't worry me too much.
Polamalu, we were probably going to be without anyway, so oh well. I really do not think Green Bay's offense is going to have any success against us, much less Rodgers having a "career day." All the Packers' wins are against shitty teams, and anyone halfway decent runs up the score on them. We ought to kick their asses and have people talking about "OMG, the Steelers finally got it together; look out, everyone else." At least in theory. If we show up all disjointed and crapified like the past few games, then I suppose anything could happen.

I predict shootout Sunday at 4 in Heinz Field. Our Defense even without shutting teams down should be able to contain Grant and keep Driver and Jennings in check. At least it works that way in my mind.

What pisses me off about this game is that I could really see us coming out and beating the crap out of GB, because it seems that's what we do mostly against decent teams. Of course, I could see us taking a gigantic
on Sunday. All I know is I've gotten too many grey hairs during this season.

Doesn't say much for the confidence in our O'line depth when Kemo is playing with only one hand!
Might explain the way he was abused on occasion on Thursday. If he's not up to it, he shouldn't be on the field, not like he's a pro bowler is it? More inane decision making from this staff!! |

I believe Kemo was rushed back last game. Playing one-handed is far from the ideal situation for an o-linemen. Now, if he could play with a cast... that would be another thing enitrely.
As for Troy, They just need to wrap him up in bubble wrap, and let him be until next year at this point. Yes, he's a competitior, but what does the "team" gain. Risking more damage to play spoiler for another teams playoff hopes doesn't interest me at all.

There's really no team on the rest of our schedule that we aren't capable of beating without him. If we do that, then yeah, the playoffs are a worthwhile cause to take a risk. All, of course, assuming that he's actually ready to come back.
