Default Packers Poem (12/20/09)

The Packers came to Heinz to play last week
Both teams were on their own game streak

We had been losing - Green Bay had been winning
But we were looking to change that right from the beginning

A score on the first pass to Wallace - nothing could be greater
Little did we know what was to come later

A couple of punts and the Packers answered with a score of their own
83 yards - Jennings to the end zone

Mendenhall would be stopped short and fight for more
On the next drive he would run in for a score

Another long pass as Green Bay continued to fight
But it ended with a field goal that went wide right

We were leading through the 2nd quarter and then
Aaron Rodgers goes untouched to the end zone - itís tied again

Deep passes to Miller and Holmes and Ben took a sack
Followed by a pass to Mewelde Moore and we answered back

Late 3rd quarter would bring a field goal by Reed
This would give the Steelers a 10 point lead

In the 4th quarter it was questioned if an onside kick was needed
The Packers were fighting back and almost succeeded

Ben passed for 503 yards and we needed them all
We didnít get the win till the last play call

A last second pass to Wallace - who became the game saving hero
A toe tapper in the end zone as the clock went to zero

The playoffs are still possible - we are not out yet
But a win this Sunday is what we must get

As I write this on Christmas - letís continue the celebration
Defeat those Ravens! Merry Christmas Steeler Nation!
